VM66555: PEVM66420 ABEND HTT001 WITH INCOMPLETE SET EDEV CMD

Error description

• VM66420 added support to allow the LUN operand to be optional;
  causing error checking for the FCP device and WWPN to be
  bypassed.
  With VM66420 applied, specifying a CP SET EDEVICE ADD PATH
  command without the FCP device and WWPN specified can
  cause an HTT001 ABEND.

  When VM66420 is applied to allow the LUN operand to be optional,
  an incomplete CP SET EDEVICE ADD PATH command without the FCP
  device and WWPN specified leads to an HTT001 ABEND. This abend
  can also occur when DEL PATH is specified for the SET EDEVICE
  command without the FCP device and WWPN.
  
  This problem occurs due to a change in logic when processing the
  SET EDEVICE command, causing error checking for the FCP device
  and WWPN to be bypassed when ADD PATH or DEL PATH is specified.
  This results in an ABEND rather than an error message notifying
  the user of the missing FCP device and WWPN.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code was modified to ensure that error checking occurs for the
  FCP device and WWPN when processing the CP SET EDEVICE command
  with ADD PATH or DEL PATH specified, so that an error message
  notifying the user of the missing operand can be issued.
