Paging space on ECKD devices can now support cylinders from 0-1,182,005. Volumes must first be formatted, which can be done with the new CPFMTXA support, then attached to the system.

Comments
The Control Program (CP) has been modified to handle ECKD PAGE space on EAVs up to cylinder 1,182,005. CPFMTXA has been modified to handle the new cylinder ranges for PAGE space. There is a defect in SALIPL with EAVs that was fixed. The updated cylinder range affects the following publications: z/VM: Migration Guide (GC24-6294-02) Summary of the EAV Paging function, including a summary of documentation changes to commands, SMAPI, monitor, and other publications. z/VM: CP Commands and Utilities Reference (SC24-6268-02) Includes updates to ATTACH command and CPFMTXA utility documentation. z/VM: CP Planning and Administration (SC24-6271-01) Updates PAGE allocation cylinders. z/VM: CP Messages and Codes (GC24-6270-01) Updates to messages HCP138E and HCP139E z/VM: Performance (SC24-6301-02) Adds a list of monitor record updates.
