Error description
The DEFINE PAVALIAS and HYPERPAVALIAS commands can define only a single alias at a time. This requires issuing multiple DEFINE commands to create multiple virtual alias devices for guest use. This can be tedious and, if DEFINE commands are included in the guest User Directory entry via COMMAND statements, can limit the number of aliases that can be defined.

Comments
The DEFINE PAVALIAS and DEFINE HYPERPAVALIAS commands now accept a range of virtual alias device numbers, allowing multiple aliases to be defined by issuing a single command. The "CP Commands and Utilities" publication, SC24-6268-00, will be updated to add device range operands to the syntax diagrams for the DEFINE HYPERPAVALIAS and DEFINE PAVALIAS commands, as well as to add descriptions of those operands.
