Error description

  • The FCX306 (LSHARACT) report incorrectly shows values in the
"LPAR Weight" and "Entlment" columns for deactivated LPARS.

Report FCX306 (LSHARACT) displays the weight defined for each
CPU type in an active LPAR. The weight is used to calculate
the LPAR's entitlement for each CPU type, which is displayed in
the "Entlment" field. When a LPAR is deactivated, its weights
and entitlements should no longer be displayed, but they
continue to be.

Problem conclusion

  • When an LPAR is deactivated, its weight is set to zero.
Calculation and display of all other data fields in report
FCX306 (LSHARACT) is bypassed for the LPAR.
