Error description
During a system Hyperswap, active I/O was discovered on a DASD during the SWAP phase. It was a SENSE I/O issued by our first level interrupt handler because of an unsolicited unit check for a Summary UC. The process is to clear any active I/O during the SWAP phase and then requeue it. The problem is is that when the interrupt comes back for the clear on the system sense we dispose of it. We don't return to HCPIOJ to complete the SWAP and the process times out.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All z/VM Hyperswap Command Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: APPLY PTF * **************************************************************** Timeout occurs in Hyperswap SWAP processing when active I/O is detected during SWAP processing. The I/O is a system sense CCW issued on behalf of an unsolicited summary unit check. When we detect active I/O in SWAP processing a CSCH will be issued. When the interrupt is presented with clear status we dispose of it and do not return to HCPIOJ to finish SWAP processing. This causes the Hyperswap in progress to fail.
Problem conclusion
HCPIOJ will be updated to check if the active I/O detected on the device is a system sense CCW. If it is, it will bypass the CSCH.
