Abstract

IBMI DNS REMEDIATION FOR CVE-2023-3341

Error Description

The IBMi DNS networking subsystem has been upgraded to ISC Bind
version 9.16.44 in order to resolve a security vulnerability in
relation to CVE-2023-3341.                                      

Problem Summary

The IBMi Domain Name networking subsystem (DNS) is vulnerable to
CVE-2023-3341                                                  

Problem Conclusion

The IBMi DNS open source code has been upgraded to Bind version
9.16.42 in order to resolve the security issues found in        
CVE-2023-3341.
