SE73818: RDI 9.6.0.8 AN ASSIGNMENT DONE IN A MONITORED EXPRESSION IS TRANSFORMED TO UPPER-CASE BY THE DEBUG SERVER

APAR status

Error description

• Debugging a program with the green-screen IBM i debug UI
  (STRDBG) a variable can be assigned a value with the EVAL
  expression such as EVAL MYVAR = 'abc'.  Performing a similar
  action using the debug UI in Rational Developer for i (RDI)
  9.6.0.8 with the Monitor Expression dialog results in the
  assignment value being incorrectly transformed to upper case
  ('ABC').
