Error description

  • With Rational Developer for i (RDI) 9.6.0.6 source files edited
    in i Projects do not have those updates pushed to the server
    when the i Project preference (Preferences > i Projects > Build
    and Compile) is set to "Push selected resources if there are
    any changes" when a Remote Action - Compile action is
    performed on the source file in the i Project. When two or more
    source members have been edited in the i Project, the first
    subsequent compile remote action will push the one member being
    compiled, but incorrectly alter the sync state of the other
    files. The other updated files will not be pushed when the
    compile remote action is done for them, and the Remote
    Reconciler view will show them as being in sync with the server;
    instead of having local changes. The edited changes are still in
    the local i Project, but the sync state with the server has been
    reset.

Local fix

  • Change the i Project preference from "Push selected resources
    if there any changes" to the other setting: "Push all
    changed resources in the project"
