Abstract
OSP-F/QYASPACT-T/QLICSLIB-RC3-MSGCPFB8ED IASP VARY ON MAY FAIL
WITH MSGCPFB8ED RC3
Error Description
In a circumstance were a library in the IASP may become owned
by a user other than QSYS, it is possible that following a vary
off and vary back on, the vary on of the IASP may fail with
MSGCPFB8ED RC3.
The underlying code is being changed because the vary on should
not fail due to a lib having QSYS as an owner as the vary code
should be handling this in a better manner.
Problem Summary
In a circumstance where a system library in the IASP had an
owner other than QSYS, it is possible that following a vary off
and vary back on, the vary on of the IASP may fail with
MSGCPFB8ED RC3, followed by MSGCPFB8E5.
CPFB8ED - Device description &1 not correct for operation.
CPFB8E5 - Vary Configuration or Reclaim Storage detected a
problem.
Problem Conclusion
Program QLICSLIB was changed so that the CPFB8ED error will not
occur when the system library's owner is changed.
