Abstract

OSP-MSGCPD4306-D/TQSQOPEN-PAR DECLARE CURSOR STATEMENT IN
EMBEDDED RPG PROGRAM W/PARSER ERROR CAUSED SYSTEM ERROR -901.

Error Description

Customer had a DECLARE CURSOR statement in an RPG program with  
a parser error due to a missing comma. However, SQL parser did  
not flag the error, and caused MSGCPD4306 and MSGSQL0901. An    
appropriate parser error should be sent instead.                

Problem Summary

Customer had a DECLARE CURSOR statement in an RPG program with a
parser error due to a missing comma. However, SQL parser did not
flag the error, and caused MSGCPD4306 and MSGSQL0901. An        
appropriate parser error should be sent instead.                

Problem Conclusion

MSGSQL0612 will be issued instead of MSGSQL0901.
