SE63959: RDI 9.5.0 TEXT REPLACEMENT FOR ILE RPG CONTENT ASSIST IN THE REMOTE SYSTEMS LPEX EDITOR IS UNPREDICTABLE

Error description

• Currently when editing an RPGLE source member using the Remote
  Systems LPEX Editor in Rational Developer for I (RDI) 9.5 using
  the Content Assist (CA) can be unpredictable in what it chooses
  to replace.  The CA will attempt to do a smart replace of
  existing elements based on what is to the left of the cursor
  when the CA is activated.  To be more predictable, the behavior
  should replace any stream-selected text.

  * chosen completion correctly; but would add the full opcode   *
  * choice.                                                      *

  Content Assist would insert the full opcode in front of the
  partial text; instead of fully replacing it, resulting in
  â ˜END-PREND-â ˜.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in the RDi 9.6.0.9 update.
