Abstract

OSP-INCORROUT *MGTCOL OBJECTS MISSING AUTHORIZATION LIST

Error Description

Newly created management collection objects do not observe      
library settings where an authorization list has been applied.  
Thus the new *MTGCOL objects are not secured by the desired    
authorization list.                                            

Problem Summary

Newly created management collection objects do not observe      
library settings where an authorization list has been applied.  
Thus the new *MGTCOL objects are not secured by the desired    
authorization list.                                            

Problem Conclusion

If a library's default create authority value (CRTAUT) is      
*SYSVAL, then new *MGTCOL objects will still be created with    
authority PUBLIC(*EXCLUDE). However, if a library's default    
create authority value is set to something other than *SYSVAL,  
then new *MGTCOL objects will be created with the authority as  
specified by the default create authority value of the library.
