Abstract

OSP-INCORROUT Collection Services data missing interval 1

Error Description

MSGCPF5104 and MSGCPF5025 for PRTPOLRPT.                        
First interval in CS is missing or a small value.              
Interval 1 is missing in QAPMSYSTEM and interval 2 is only 14  
seconds.                                                        
QAPMPOOLB and the INTSEC for interval 1 was only 1 second.      

Problem Summary

When collecting Collection Services performance data at 15      
second intervals, the first interval in some Collection Services
database files is missing.                                      
One way of detecting this issue is receiving MSGCPF5104 and    
MSGCPF5025 when printing the Performance Tools Pool Report      
(PRTPOLRPT).                                                    

Problem Conclusion

Collection Services uses special logic to determine when to    
collect the first interval of performance data. This logic had a
defect when collecting data at 15 second intervals, which      
intermittently caused interval 1 to be missing for some        
collection categories in the Collection Services database files.
This has been fixed.
