SE60684: RDI 9.1.0 SCREEN DESIGNER ADDS INCORRECT ROW AND COLUMN VALUES FOR MESSAGE (M) FIELD

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Screen Designer in Rational Developer for I 9.1.0 may
  incorrectly populate the row and column position for a message
  field (type M in column 38).  This can happen when editing the
  DSPF source using the edit view to add source or if the Message
  field is selected in the outline view.
  

Local fix

• To avoid the issue close the properties view before selecting
  the M field.
  
  If the position has been changed for the M field then manually
  remove the incorrect row and column values in the
  source view.

  When editing an DSPF DDS member containing a message field, if
  the field is selected and its properties shown, then the field
  is given a position of 1 1 and the source is updated.  But M
  usage fields should not have a row, column position specified on
  its field specification.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem is fixed in the RDi 9.1.1 update to disable the
  direct edting of M usage field positions via the properties.
  Therefore the source will not be inadvertently updated.
