APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A false error will be flagged if an ILE RPG source member
contains a fixed-form RPG ENDSR (End Of Subroutine) followed by
a P Specification with a continued name just prior to a
    free-form procedure specification (dcl-proc).
This combination will cause the dcl-proc to be flagged with a
yellow triangle. When the mouse is placed over the yellow
triangle it will reveal the message:

"ProcedureBegin" expected instead of this input

The source is correct and will compile cleanly.

Local fix

  • Either change the fixed-form BEGIN and END to the free-form
    version or change the free-form dcl-proc to a fixed-form
    P specification BEGIN.
