Abstract

HASM-HA-UNPRED CHGCRGPRI IS NOT DROPPING AND ADDING ALL HOST
CONNECTIONS.

Error Description

When PowerHA is configured for LUN switching with multiple host
connection IDs on DS8000 (DS8K) or any DS8xxx, the CHGCRGPRI
to perform a switchover seems to only drop the first host ID
connection from the preferred source and adds to the preferred
target. Additional host connections are still
connected at the preferred source and could potentially be a
threat to unpredictable results if a user should happen to try
to vary on the IASP at the preferred source following a switch.

Until the available PTF is applied, NEVER attempt to vary on
the IASP on the node which is considered the current target.
Pay close attention to the Recovery Domain of the CRG or call
support if needing assistance to figure this out.
