Error description

  • When editing DSPF or PRTF DDS source using Remote Systems LPEX,
Screen Designer or Report Designer there is the capability to
specify field and record names in the Basics tab of the
Properties view. The entries are validated to make sure the
names are valid before updating the DDS source. DDS accepts
three characters in names that can vary from one EBCDIC CCSID to
another. If these characters are used for CCSIDs where the
characters are other than '$',@' and '#', the properties pages
flag the names as invalid by using a red background, even though
    they are valid.

Local fix

  • Switch to the Source tab and enter the valid characters
    directly into the source.
