APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After opening an RPGLE source member all the file definitions
show in the outline just fine.  If the file definition is
changed and the file recreated the changes do not show in the
outline view even after a refresh of the outline view.

Local fix

  • Close and restart the edit session to pick up the referenced
file changes.

If an external database or device file is changed while the
RPGLE member is open in the editor, the live RPGLE outline
view will not show the changes to that file.

Problem conclusion

  • This problem is fixed in the RDi 9.0.0.1 update.
