Error description

  • RDP 8.0.3.1 source physical file in an iProject has a .propertie
s file that indicate the record length, CCSID, text description,
and IGCDATA flag of the source physical file and its members.
If the data in the .properties file is changed, these changes
will not be reflected if a push or an undo is performed.
The .properties file is cached. Currently, the only way to
clear the contents is to save and close RDP and restart the
    client workspace.
Only the changed text description is pushed if the .properties
file is changed. The other properties are only used when a
source physical file is created on push.

Local fix

  • Close the workspace and restart RDP.

    ****************************************************************
The properties of i Project resources are cached. If the
underlying properties files were changed as they are in an
import operation the cache was not being cleared and refreshed.

This problem is fixed in Rational Developer for i 9.0.
