SE54252: RDP 8.5.1 RPGLE LIVE CONTENT ASSIST DOES NOT SHOW THE CORRECT RETURN TYPE FOR A FIELD DEFINED LIKE A TEMPLATE FIELD

Error description

• This problem shows in RDP 8.5.1 (live outline) and was
  previously OK in RDP 8.0.3.1 (static outline).  In the new
  version the live content assist does not correctly display
  the return value type when it is defined LIKE a field in a data
  structure template.
  

Local fix

• To use the static outline in RDP 8.5 (and later) uncheck the
  checkbox "Update the outline view when text is changed in the
  editor" in the ILE RPG parser preferences.

  In an RPGLE member, if the return value of a procedure
  interface is defined with LIKE using a qualified name, like
  the subfield of a template data structure, then the live
  content assist will not display it correctly.
  
  This problem is fixed in RDi 9.0.
