Error description

  • If the RPGLE source member is missing an endif statement the
outline may not be generated.  Clicking the outline refresh
button in this case may cause excessive CPU utilization.

Local fix

  • Correct the RPGLE source so the outline can be generated.

If CPU utilization is experienced then close and restart RDP
after correcting the source.

The code scan for the RPG live outline was not able to handle
a missing closing END statement, and would fail to populate the
outline view.  In some cases, it would get stuck trying to
recover.

This problem is fixed in RDi 9.0.
