SE52670: RDP 8.5 SCREEN DESIGNER CONFUSED AFTER CHANGING A FIELD FROM ABSOLUTE TO RELATIVE POSITIONING

Error description

• When editing a DSPF source member with Screen Designer and one
  field in an absolute positioned record is changed to be relative
  positioning or a relative positioned field is added then the
  design page becomes inoperative.
  
  For example adding FIELD3 or changing FIELD3 from absolute to
  relative positioning will cause this problem:
  
       A          R RECORD1
       A            FIELD1         9   B  3 24
       A            FIELD2         9   B  4 24
       A            FIELD3         9   B   +02
  

Local fix

• Save the changes, close then re-open Screen Designer

  When an field with an absolute column position is converted
  to a relative column position through the checkbox in the
  properties view, it forgets its column position and is moved
  to be +1 of the previous field.
  
  This problem is fixed in RDi 9.0 so that after converting an
  absolute field to a relative one, it will appear at the same
  column.
