Abstract

RPFT-F/QPTCPTWK-MSGMCH1210 PRTCPTRPT Storage Pool Activity

Error Description

MCH1201 F/QPTCPTWK is seen when running a Component report which
includes the Storage Pool Activity section. The function check  
was due to the large amount of active to wait transitions in an
interval. It caused a FIXED(31) variable to overflow when it    
tried to multiply it by 60 (part of converting the number to a  
per minute value).                                              

Problem Summary

PRTCPTRPT receives message MCH1210 during the creation of the  
Storage Pool Activity section.                                  

Problem Conclusion

Message MCH1210 can occur when a large amount of active to wait
transitions, wait to ineligible transitions, or active to      
ineligible transitions occur in an interval. A large amount for
any of these counts may cause a work variable to overflow when  
converting it to a per minute value. This has been fixed by    
using work variables with a larger capacity.
