Abstract
OSP-INTSVRSUP-PERFM Remove duplicate initializing of new NWSSTG
spaces
Error Description
When a Network Storage space is newly created, it is zeroed out.
When this storage space is added to an IBM i client, a Format
Unit SCSI command is issued to make sure that the drive is
zeroed out. Thus doing a second cleaning of the space.
Problem Summary
When a Network Storage Space is newly created, it is zeroed out.

zeroed out. Thus doing a second cleaning of the storage space.
Problem Conclusion
The operating system will change to avoid the unnecessary second
zeroing of the Network Storage Space.
