Abstract
OSP-INCORROUT CRTPFRDTA IOP file members removed msgCPC7309
msgPFR3002
Error Description
RPFT-INCORROUT PRTSYSRPT System Report - Disk Utilization
section not printed.
RPFT-INCORROUT PRTSYSRPT System Report - Communications Summary
section not printed.
The Performance Tools PT/1 system report (PRTSYSRPT) fails to
produce the Disk Utilization and/or the Communications Summary
sections of the report. These sections are listed at the end of
the report as not printed or partially printed due to missing
data.
This may happen even though there is disk and/or communications
protocol data present in the performance database files. These
report sections have a dependency on IOP data found in QAPMMIOP,
QAPMDIOP, and/ or QAPMCIOP and will fail to print if the
collection member does not exist in these files.
When CRTPFRDTA is run in active mode (the CRTPFRDTA job which
generates file data concurrent with collection) will delete
file members associated with collection categories that
contained no data. Systems that use all IOPless adapters or are
pure virtual partitions will not have IOP data collected and are
subject to this problem.

Problem Summary
RPFT-INCORROUT PRTSYSRPT System Report - Disk Utilization
section not printed.
RPFT-INCORROUT PRTSYSRPT System Report - Communications Summary
section not printed.
The Print System Report command (PRTSYSRPT) in the Performance
Tools Licensed Program Product fails to produce the Disk
Utilization and/or the Communications Summary sections. These
sections are listed at the end of the report as not printed or
partially printed due to missing data.
This may happen even though there is disk and/or communications
protocol data present in the performance database files.
Problem Conclusion
These report sections have a dependency on IOP data found in
QAPMMIOP, QAPMDIOP, and/ or QAPMCIOP. The report section will
fail to print if the collection member does not exist in these
files.
After CRTPFRDTA is run in active mode (as is done within the
CRTPFRDTA job), it will remove empty file members associated
with collection categories that contained no data. Systems that
use all IOPless adapters or are pure virtual partitions will not
have IOP data collected and are subject to this problem.
CRTPFRDTA has been changed so that it does not remove members
for the indicated files.
Temporary Fix
Comments
Circumvention
Running CRTPFRDTA on a management collection object from a
previously active collection
will create the missing file members needed for the System
Report to produce
the Disk Utilization and the Communications Summary sections.
