Abstract

MQM400 *PUBLIC AUTHORITY CHANGE FOR CONTENT IN DIRECTORY /QIBM/P
RODDATA/MQM/INQ IN WMQV6 FROM WMQV5.3

Error Description

Regarding authority for /QIBM/ProdData/mqm/inc, we checked
WRKAUT OBJ('/QIBM/ProdData/mqm/inc') on wmqv6.0.2.3 on our
local system. *PUBLIC has *RX authority. We could not see
any change in authority from WMQv503 for this directory.
.

The question about the eventually public authority change was
about the content in directory /QIBM/ProdData/mqm/inq in stead
of the directory itself.
We see there is change in authority for *public user for the
contents of directory /QIBM/ProdData/mqm/inq  in WMQv6 from
WMQv5.3. This apar will correct the authority for these files.

Problem Summary

*PUBLIC users have *EXCLUDE authority for the
header files in directory /QIBM/ProdData/mqm/inc.
In WMQ5.3, *PUBLIC user had *R permission for header files in
directory /QIBM/ProdData/mqm/inc. In WMQ6 for iSeries has
*EXCLUDE authority. There is change in authority for *PUBLIC
user from WMQ5.3.
Platforms affected:

Problem Conclusion

On unix platform, header files has authority of 444 (r--r--r-).

Changes has been done to have same authorities that we ship on

other UNIX platforms. owner QMQM, group owner QMQMADM and

*PUBLIC user have *R permission for header files in
