Abstract
MQM400 STRMQM FAILS TO START QUEUE MANAGER WITH PROBE ZF089070
Error Description
The queue manager fails to start with FDCs having Probe Id:-
ZF089070 on Component:- zfuLoadAuthorityQueue and Probe Id:-
ZX005030 with Major Errorcode:- zrcX_PROCESS_MISSING. Also the
call stack shows
<-- zsqMQGET rc=arcW_TRUNCATED_MSG_FAILED
<-- zifMQGET rc=arcW_TRUNCATED_MSG_FAILED
<-- zstMQGET rc=arcW_TRUNCATED_MSG_FAILED

-
The problem is seen to happen when a large number of users
(more than 45 as per our tests) are granted authority over WMQ
objects prior to the last quiescing of the queue manager.
Problem Summary
****************************************************************
USERS AFFECTED:
All WMQ users iSeries and distributed platform, especially who
grant WMQ authority over WMQ objects to a large number of users
(more than 45 as per our tests).
Platforms affected:
All Distributed (iSeries, all Unix and Windows)
****************************************************************
PROBLEM SUMMARY:
When a large number of users (more than 45 as per our tests)
are granted authority over WMQ objects prior to the last
quiescing of the queue manager; the queue manager fails to
start again.
-
Since the message in the authority queue is large WMQ fails to
retrieve it with the default buffer size and reallocation of
buffer takes place. But, the queue manager fails to fetch the
correct message after reallocation of message buffer and hence
the authorisation module fails. Subsequently the queue manager
does not restart.
Problem Conclusion
Incorporated changes to ensure that the right authorisation
message is retrieved after the reallocation of message buffer.
