RS03916: RULE DESIGNER MAY FAIL TO IMPORT MANY PROJECTS IN THE SAME WORKSPACE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This problem has been reported when trying to import about 140
  projects. Many of these projects are shared projects.
  
  The symptoms were:
  1) projects were not displayed in the "Rule" perspective (but
  visible in the "Java" perspective),
  2) Eclipse .log file contained StackOverFlow exceptions.
  

Local fix

• A workaround consisted in configuring Eclipse :
  1) to use a JRE featuring a IBMJ9 JVM
  
  2) and increase the size of the stack (by adding the -Xss
  option in eclipse.ini).
