Error description

  • The Message Queue Transit reports are not reporting
all transactions in a Shared Queues environment.
    Additional symptoms fixed:
    1) Large discrepancy between TRANEXC and IRUR.
    2) Negative values in Transaction History file for
    values TRH2PTO and TRHRTPRO.
    3) Dashboard report, transaction transit times are too high
for "In Q" and "Exec" values.
    4) Transaction Exception Report (TRANEXC) is not reporting for
the full requested timeframe. This is happening because the
transit queue is filling and causing Transit processing to
be stopped. IPI0311I Transit processing ended,
Transaction Sets processed=nnnnnn - might be seen in this case.
    5) ABEND0C4 IPIPEOT PQ91015 at x'1208'.
    Additional keyword: MSGIPI0311I
Note: This APAR is for IPA V3.2 and V3.3. There will
be a seperate PTF for each release.

    ****************************************************************
The Message Queue Transit reports are not reporting
all transactions in a Shared Queues environment.
    Symptoms include:
    1. Dashboard and other Transit reports have missing
       transactions.
    2. IRUR Miscellaneous report has transaction count
       higher than Transit reports.
    3. Transaction History File contains negative elapsed
       times.
    4. Incorrect processing IMS ID in Shared Queue environment.
Additional problem. The Transaction Transit Log report
may not include transactions after an application abend
    is encountered for the transaction.

Problem conclusion

  • Transit processing is corrected to detect completed
transactions at log input end-of-file and report them.
Corrected Transaction History File elapsed time
    calculations.
Transit processing corrected to include all completed
    transactions.
Addition of sample DB2 QMF query (IPITHQM4) to report
Transaction History Transit Queue time peak percentile.
