**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of High Performance Fast Path * * Reorganization Tool Version 2 Release 1. * * (FMID: H31A210) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Reload gets ABENDS01D when SDEP size is * * over 2G bytes and OCACHE=YES. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** 1.Reload gets ABENDS01D when SDEP size is over 2G bytes and OCACHE=YES is specified in HFPSYSIN. 2.When the total number of IOVF CI exceeds 100,000, the sixth digit overflows and it is truncated, thus not shown in the DBD definition report. The number of BASE CI and DOVF CI is described per UOW. It should be described per area like the number of IOVF. The SDEP START BLOCK# and RBA(HEX) are not reported.
Problem conclusion
1.This ABEND happened because HPFP Reorganization tools failed pagefix process of the buffer region on a DATA SPACE in order to write ADS files. HPFP Reorganization tools has been modified so as not to get a DATA SPACE, if the size of IOVF or SDEP part is over 2G bytes. When IOVF or SDEP size is over 2G bytes and ICACHE/OCACHE=YES, following HFPV0004I message is issued and the HPFP Reorganization tools directly accesses an ADS without using DATA SPACE. HFPV0004I xxxx PART COULD NOT BE PRELOADED INTO A DATA SPACE FOR PROCESSING IN keyword=YES. - AREA NO: nn, AREANAME: areaname 2.The number of IOVF is expanded from 5 digits to 7 digits.The number of BASE CI and DOVF CI is reported per AREA with 7 digits. The output form of DBD definition report are modified as follows. * The edit pattern of each item is changed "ZZZZ9" to "Z,ZZZ,ZZ9". * The SDEP START BLOCK# and RBA(HEX) are reported. ======================== = DOCUMENTATION CHANGE = ======================== The IMS High Performance Fast Path Utilities for z/OS User's Guide Volume 1: High Performance Fast Path Reorganization Tool Version 2 Release 1 (SC18-7615-00) should be changed as follows: Appendix B.
