Error description

• HP LOAD under DB Control Suite fails with MSGIKJ56241I NO UNIT
  AVAILABLE. This fails for an OSAM database because the IDCAMS
  allocate control statment is missing a UNIT parameter.

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The OSAM Database Dataset Allocation fails in the IDCAMS
  allocation step because there is no Unit parameter defined on
  the control statement.  This situation occurs in a non-sms DASD
  environment. The JCL generating skeleton code will be corrected
  for this situation.
  

Problem conclusion

• The JCL generating skeleton driver has been corrected to
  collect the Unit information for a non-sms environment for
  DASD Devices associated with a OSAM Database during delete/
  define processing.
  Additional corrections and additions made are as follows:
  1.) Correction of allocation Logic for DFSURCDS and DFSURWF1
      files for MR052004245 when no Prereorg is required for the
      DBDSGRP as a whole.
  2.) Correction of Space Allocation values in Fast Path Delete/
      Define processing.
  3.) Add addition Messages for PriLog processing in Maintain
      Recon processing. MR0407044954
  4.) Change Start Time Parameter information for MR0407044954.
  5.) Make Performance improvements in Maintain Recon for
      MR0407044954.
  6.) Improve Control Suite performance on exit from the ISPF
      session.
  7.) Correct Do loop logic in Parallel Reorg Unload Utility JCL
      generator if no Prereorg required by DBDSGRP, MR052004245.
  8.) Update error message IDLI004 to further clarify error
      condition.
