**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IMS Database Repair Facility -Version 1 * * Release 1 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Several prblems. 1) key acces to * * PSINDEX fails if screen size is 24 * * lines. 2) using the dataset list field * * on panel fabzp02 may overwrite * * a non-DBRF file 3) improve support * * for db with long keys * * * * * * * * * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** 1) if you have 24 line screen size, panel fabzps3p will fail. 2) on panel fabzp02, if you enter the name of a non-DBRF file in the field entitled 'List of DB data set names', DBRF will overwrite that file. 3) all fields that allow key entry need to be lengthened to allow maximum key size
Problem conclusion
1) had to remove the root key and record key display fields because the number of lines in the )BODY section exceeded screen size causes a failure. The keys themselves do appear in the displayed record at the screen bottom, and the start and end offsets of each key are still displayed. 2) DBRF now checks to see if the filename entered is that of an existing non-DBRF f and issues error message. 3) panels that allow key entry now ha more lines for the key field. some panels display keys above the actual record display, but to display the maximum key size would push the most important information, the record itself, off the screen....therefore these key displays remain smaller. The smaller size will suffice in the vast majority of instances and for the rare long key, we simply do not display it 110Y FABZDATA FABZDBLS FABZMAIN FABZPROC FABZPRO2 FABZPS1 FABZPS1I FABZPS1P FABZPS1R FABZPS1X FABZPS3P FABZ09
