Closed as new function.
Error description
-
Before this APAR, DFSORT (or functional equivalent software) was required to invoke the full function data base HASH check option with IMS Image Copy Extensions Version 2 - (Program Number : 5655-J56) or IMS HP Image Copy Version 3 - (Program Number : 5655-K96). . This APAR removes DFSORT, or the functional equivalent software product, from the prerequisite software list. . +-- Note -----------------------------------------------+ | This APAR is effective only for the HASH check option | | invoked from the image copy product. | | The DFSORT or a functionally equivalent software is | | still required when HD Pointer Checker runs as a | | stand alone utility (separated from the image copy | | product). | +-------------------------------------------------------+

This APAR removed the sort-and-merge product from the prerequisite software. And, the following DD statements are need not to be specified in the image copy JCL: The single-step HASH Check : SYSOUT, SORTEX, and SORTOUT The multiple-step HASH Check : SYSOUT and SORTOUT ====== Note: This APAR is effective only for the HASH check option invoked from the image copy product. The DFSORT or a functionally equivalent software is still required when HD Pointer Checker runs as a stand alone utility (separated from the image copy product).
