Error description

  • DB2 Data Archive Expert ( DAE ) R110 encounters an unexpected
    SQL error when processing a request and using comma as a
    decimal point.
    .
    When attempting to change COMMIT level from 1000 to 100 on
    panel AHXV11 'Data Archive Expert Settings' and DECIMAL=COMMA ,
    message MSGAHXSETTS and SQLCODE104 are received.
    Message: AHXSETTS: INSERT INTO  SESSION.TMPUSERPROPS
         SQLCODE:  -104
         SQLSTATE: 42601
         SQL ERROR TOKENS: ,2.) ,
         SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR: DSNHPARS
         SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION: 0,0,0,-1,323,0
    .
    When attempting to ' Save archive specification ' and
    DECIMAL=COMMA , SQLCODE117 and MSGAHXUNITT were returned.
    Message: AHXUNITT: INSERT INTO SESSION.TMPTBSOURCES
         SQLCODE:  -117
         SQLSTATE: 42802
         SQL ERROR TOKENS:
         SQL PROCEDURE DETECTING ERROR: DSNXOIN
         SQL DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION: -111,0,0,-1,0,0
    .
    Problem only occurs on system where comma is defined as a
    decimal.

    When the ZPARM, PERIOD, is set to 'COMMA', and therefore,
    COMMA is defined as the DECIMAL POINT, SQLCODE errors
    occur (-104 or -117).
    

Problem conclusion

  • The reported problem of "COMMA defined as the DECIMAL POINT" is
    fixed  (i.e. after apply the fix, COMMA can be used as the
    DECIMAL POINT if the ZPARM, PERIOD, is set to 'COMMA').
