PQ90768: MSGISPV009 USING THE IMSPA ISPF DIALOG WITH KATAKANA KEYBOARD

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ISPF message ISPV009 is issued when using the IMSPA
  dialog with a KATAKANA keyboard.
  The ISPF SETTINGS Terminal Type is either 8. 3277KN
  or 9. 3278KN.
  KATAKANA terminals and some languages do not support
  lower to upper case translation.
  The incorrect ISPF command is "VPUT (xtrtbnam xtrtbcol)".
  IMSPA REXX EXECs will be corrected to specify all ISPF
  variable names in upper case.
  

Local fix

• Retry with a terminal type setting of 1, 2, 3 or 4
  (normal 3278/3279).
