PQ83423: IMSPI VARIOUS IMPROVEMENTS TO DIALOG AND BATCH REPORTING

Error description

• This APAR will provide improvements to the IMS PI Dialog and
  Batch reporting required to provide improved usability, log
  record analysis and tracking.
  The following New Features are introduced:
  1) Integratioin of IMS Performance Analyzer System Definitions.
     User's can share their IMSPA System Definitions with IMSPI,
     browsing Log Files and requesting DBRC Log Selection.
  2) FILTER EXCLUDE option, allows the user to exclude a Log Code
     from reporting in a Filter.
  3) FILTER TRACK option, allows the user to request Tracking from
     a Filter (supported in batch and the dialog).
  4) Dynamic FILTER, allows the user to change their active
     Filtering criteria during a LOG File Browse session.
  5) New Dialog SKIP command, allows the user to Track forwards
     or backwards. SKIP is available when viewing a formatted
     record. The user can skip automatically to the next/previous
     formatted record without having to return to the list of
     records. The next/previous record can either be the adjacent
     physical record, the adjacent record as selected by the
     Filter, or the adjacent record as selected by Tracking.
  6) Extract Data Set creation information, informing the user
     about how the extract data set was created; including the
     parent Log File from where the records were extracted, the
     creation date and time and the Filter used to select the log
     records.
     These changes are to support FITS requests MR1126032553,
     MR1126034611, MR1126035645, and MR1126035939.
  7) Provide multivolume logfile support.

• The following New Features are introduced by APAR PQ83423:
  1. New Systems and Groups primary menu options that allow you
     to better manage your IMS System Definitions as well as
     share your definitions with IMS Performance Analyzer
     (5655-E15).
  2. Tracking enhancements:
     a) Tracking supported in batch reports and extracts.
     b) Backwards tracking in the dialog.
     c) Tracking can be started and continued while viewing a
        formatted log record without returning to the Browse
        session.
  3. Filter enhancements:
     a) Request Tracking (for batch requests only).
     b) Exclude Log codes.
  4. Dynamic Filtering in Log Filter Browse allows you to:
     a) Suspend/resume filtering.
     b) Review/change your active filtering options.
     c) X line action to exclude an individual log code.
  5. New SKIP command while viewing a formatted log record allows
     you to skip to the next or previous record without returning
     to the Browse session.
  6. New TOP command moves the selected Log file to the top
     of the list.
