Comments
A set of modules and macros that have module name suffix "9" is added to support IMS V9. Particular changes to support IMS V9 are as follows; DFRXCON9 is changed to call DFRXMAS9 to connect MAS. DFRXMAS9 is added to connect MAS. DFRXDSC9 is changed to disconnect MAS. DFRXCAS9 is changed to cast out MAS. DFRCCSM9 is changed not to issue return and reason code for DFR3612E when a connection failure is caused by association. The product usage in IMS V9 environment is same as the one in IMS V8 environment. DFR User's Guide and Reference (SC27-0928) is changed to describe that description for the usage in IMS V8 environment can be used for IMS V9. Also, the messages are changed as follows; A paragraph is added to the "Explanation" for the following messages. DFR3600I Explanation: The "ccccc" in the above includes the number of block-level data-sharing VSO areas which have been associated with a multi-area structure and are ready for the recovery without connection. DFR3612E Explanation: When the structure is a multi-area structure, the message is issued by the block-level data-sharing VSO area which is to be associated with the structure. In this case, return and reason codes are not shown. DFR3617E Explanation: When the structure is a multi-area structure, the message is issued by the block-level data-sharing VSO area which is to be associated with the structure. DFR3618I/DFR3618E Explanation: When the structure is a multi-area structure, the message is issued by the block-level data-sharing VSO area which is to be associated with the structure. The following message is added. DFR1066E NO CONNECTION DETECTED AREA=area-name, STR=str-name Explanation: A connection loss is detected for the area indicated by area-name, the structure indicated by str-name. The structure is a multi-area structure and this message or DFR3619E message is issued for all the areas sharing the structure. System Action: The action depends on CFRET= parameter. CFRET=Y: The DFR disconnects the structure and keeps the failed-persistent connection to the structure. Even if there is no other active connector, the structure remains CFRET=N: The DFR disconnects the structure normally. If there is no other active connector, the structure is deleted. The area is registered as unavailable. Programmer Response: After the job terminates normally, refer to the DEDB Area Status List. If RCVNEED is shown for the area, run the Database Recovery utility to recover the area. If RETRY is shown for the area, analyze the cause of the problem and remove it. Prepare the Area Recovery Retry Statement and run the DFR again.
