• There is no documentation to summarize differences bewteen CP4.0
  and CP 5.0. In general, a release notes should be published when
  a new version or ptf is released.

  New features introduced in WSEC5.0:
  
  1. Better Log support (MaxLogFileSize, etc).
     This feature allows proxy to record logging entries to a
  sequence of
  log files.
  
  2. JunctionRewrite for Reverse Proxy
     This feature helps proxy work well with multiple backend
  servers.
  There is a directory layer inserted to all html pages proxied by
  Edge
  Server. The backend servers need minimun changes. Proxy will
  rewrites
  the pages, or insert proxy cookie, and map requests to the right
  servers
  when following requests comes in.
  
  3. VirtualHost support based on IP and port
     This feature allows virtualhost to work on same box with
  different
  IPs or Ports.
  
  4. Server side connection management (LINUX)
     This feature allows proxy to maintain server side connections
  and as
  a result to achive better performance. The working threads will
  not
  block on server side sockets and will serve other requests when
  the
  response is not available soon.
  
  5. Cacheing enhancements
     Various proxy cacheing improvements, such as one GC thread
  per
  device.
  
  6. Defects fixed between 4.0 and wsec5.0 release.
  
  Features removed from 4.0 release are:
  
     CDF, TQos, Appoffload, TriggerMonitor, and SurfPatrol filter
  plugin.
