Error description

  • During the setup of the parameters relating a DB2 subsystem ID,
the datasets required for that DB2 ssid and the
DB2 Query Monitor (CQM) application plan name, the user
sometimes receives MSG CQM910E, even though the CQM product's
control file is properly defined and the user has the requisite
    authorization.

This message can be received if the ISPF user, after adding a
new record to the control file, presses the "ENTER" key a second
time without first exiting from the panel (via use of PF3) and
    reentering the panel for viewing.

This message may occur within both the PLAN name definition and
    DB2 dataset definition panels.

If the panel is not first exited, the CQM ISPF interface code
is still set to perform an "ADD" to the control file with the
data specified, thus causing an attempt to add a record with a
    duplicate key.

A code change will address this deficiency.

Local fix

  • After adding a record to either of the definition panels
accessed after selecting option "S" from the CQM main menu,
exit the panel, by use of the PF3 key, before using the "ENTER"
key a second time. This second viewing of the definition panel
    (s) causes the panel to be set up for an UPDATE process, rather
    than an ADD.
