PQ71444: HAVING TROUBLE ENTERING A HALDB DATABASE DEFINTION INTO THE DICTIONARY

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• We are having trouble entering a HALDB database defintion into
  the dictionary. When we try to add a ROLE to a PHYSICAL DATABASE
  STRUCTURE panel for a database with a Subject Code 'H', the
  dictionary returns the msg "DBD2609 E ROLE-CODE INCONSISTENT
  WITH DATABASE TYPE". This prevents us from entering physical
  segment parameters (ie Insert Rules,Compression, etc....)

  TYPE AND SEGMENT ROLE. PARTITIONED DATABASES HAD NOT BEEN ADDED
  TO THE CHECK. WHEN A ROLE WAS SPECIFIED FOR A HALDB SEGMENT
  THE "DBD2609 E ROLE-CODE INCONSISTENT WITH DATABASE TYPE"
  MESSAGE WAS ISSUED.
  

Problem conclusion

• A CHECK FOR HALDB DATABASE TYPES HAS BEEN ADDED FOR THE SEGMENT
  ROLE FIELD IN MODULE DBDDDSP.
