**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of Communications Server * * for OS390 Release 10, z/OS Version 1 * * Release 2 and Version 1 Release 4 * * IP Telnet facilities. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Linemode VT100 device hits Space and * * enter to applid solicitor panel and * * gets back 7001 error rcode, invalid * * character. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** EZBTPSOM discovers the bad character and sends an error back to the client using the Rcode that was set with the error. This clears the error and no EZZ6035I is issued for the error. +-------------------------------------------------------------+ + Please check our Communications Server for OS/390 homepages + + for common networking tips and fixes. Problem conclusion
EZBTPSOM will be changed to use a different Rcode field for the send solicitor, and also add a PARM1 field that will be loaded with the invalid character. If other than nulls or blank, it will show the bad character. This allows the EZZ6035I message to be issued to the console if DEBUG DETAIL CONSOLE has been set in the profile, with the 7001 error and parm1. * Cross Reference between External and Internal Names
