PQ67693: DESTINATION BADLY DISPLAYED RE-INSERTING REMOVED QUEUED MESSAGES

Error description

• Re-inserting removed queued messages using option 3 (LOAD)
  Panel IQCP34 is displayed with the destination name being the
  MSGODSTN from the type03 IMS log record.
  In case we are LU62 or OTMA, that destination can be a
  TIB/QAB, YTIB/YQAB with the form FxFFFFFF yyyyyyyy where
   x         = E for QAB/YQAB     or D for TIB/YTIB
   yyyyyyyy  = destination address
  and so, is badly displayed.

Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: Users, that are using panel's option LOAD    *
  *                 to reinsert messages after IQCSELCT          *
  *                 function. IQCSELCT function selects messages *
  *                 from the log data sets,builds the QCF prefix *
  *                 in front of the message. These messages are  *
  *                 prepared to be reinserted.                   *
  *                 When using QCF panel's option "LOAD" to view *
  *                 and do secondary selection for reinsert,     *
  *                 the panels do not show all messages in       *
  *                 edited form(APPC and OTMA messages).         *
  *                 These messages do not have all destination/  *
  *                 source information in the QCF prefix.        *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Using IQCSELCT output file to load      *
  *                      messages, results in some messages(APPC *
  *                      and OTMA) not properly  displayed on    *
  *                      the load panels.The QCF prefix,prepared *
  *                      by IQCSELCT, does not have all the      *
  *                      destination/source information-also     *
  *                      information about areas and messages    *
  *                      queues. This information is used        *
  *                      by LOAD displaying messages.            *

  * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF      *
  ****************************************************************
  IQCSELCT programs are changed to prepare all possible fields in
  QCF prefix.Destination type and source type are prepared, based
  on messages segments.Panel's programs are changed to assume
  message queue equal to type of destination (if message queue
  information is missing).
  

Problem conclusion

• Panels's option LOAD is showing destination and source
  information for messages prepared by IQCSELCT function (APPC
  and OTMA messages). In some cases this information is less
  detailed then for messages originating from QCF functions
  BROWSE and UNLOAD.BROWSE and UNLOAD prepare messages in IMS
  environment and have the full information available.
