Error description
Java for OS/390 and z/OS SDK 1.3.1 Service Refresh 14 (SR14). When this cumulative APAR is closed, the responder page will note all OS/390 & z/OS specific defects which have resolved (for which APARs exist), and all defects fixed in cross platform (common) code (for which APARs do not always exist). This level introduces some additional RAS (Reliability, Availibility and Serviceability) function. See APARs PQ61435, II13292 and PQ61480 for more information. It also delivers a refresh level of service for the JIT 4.0 Compiler, having the benefit of various JIT fixes from workstation platforms.

Problem conclusion
APARs fixed by applying SR14 APAR PQ62112 Customers planning to reuse hardware keystores (JCE4758KS) already created using a previous PTF of the z/OS Java SDK 1.3.1 product up to and including the SDK 1.3.1 Maintenance Rollup (PTF number UQ62958) should first convert their keystores to a format readable by this PTF. This must be done before the use of this PTF with existing keystores using a keystore migration tool provided on the z/OS Java website. The tool and its user's guide may be found off of URL: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/software/java/ The default dump has changed in this Java SDK. A transaction (TDUMP) is now produced in favor of a CEEDUMP. This TDUMP is larger than a CEEDUMP but smaller than an SVCDUMP. Its' purpose is to better aid problem diagnosis first time around.
