  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Index Builder should not end with       *
  *                      return code 0 following an abend.       *
  *                                                              *
  *                      The following additional problems were  *
  *                      also found and corrected:               *
  *                                                              *
  *                      1.  DFS0442A received running an        *
  *                          application following Index         *
  *                          Builder run.  The recommended       *
  *                          record length in VSAM define        *
  *                          does not match the record length    *
  *                          computed by Index Builder.          *
  *                                                              *
  *                      2.  Index Builder goes into infinite    *
  *                          wait when sort task initialization  *
  *                          fails.                              *

Problem conclusion

• The following modifications have been made to Index Builder:
  
  1.  Following an abend, Index Builder now ends with return
      code 16.
  2.  Record length computation has been modified.
  3.  When sort task initialization fails, Index Builder does
      not wait infinitely.
