PQ12594: COUNT OF NORMAL TRX IN DB2_TRANSACTION_D FILE INCORRECT WHEN DB2 CP PARALLELISM IS USED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• NORMAL value (number of DB2 threads successfully completed)
  in db2_transaction_d file erreneously counting all
  the DB2 records with QWACRINV >=16 .
  This is also includes records from DB2 parallel tasks (cp
  parallelism). The count should only include originating tasks
  (where qwacpace =0).

  *                      NORMAL column in the DB2_TRANSACTION_D  *
  *                      table shows an incorrect value.         *

  When enabling the DB2 parallelism, the NORMAL column in the
  DB2_TRANSACTION_D table (number of DB2 threads that completed
  successfully) shows an abnormal value. It is much greater than
  the one reported by DB2PM.
  The NORMAL column is computed by counting all the records with
  QWACRINV =< 16. With this condition, also the records cut by
  parallel tasks are counted. In order to count the only records
  cut by originating tasks an additional condition has to be
  specified.
  

Problem conclusion

• Now the NORMAL (and ABNORMAL) columns in the DB2_TRANSACTION_D
  tables are computed by counting all the records with
  QWACRINV <=16 (QWACRINV > 16) AND QWACPACE = 0 (originating
  tasks).
