Error description

  • The R320 FTP server does not read VS and VBS files correctly
when the lrecl is larger than 32760 (lrecl=x). The server also
writes VS and VBS files incorrectly depending on how the data
    bytes are read from TCP/IP.
The read side (get requests) does not build the block headers
correctly which can cause unpredicatable results when the client
tries to write the data out.
The write side does not handle the block headers correctly which
can result in records being built incorrectly.

    ****************************************************************
When attempting to move VBS datasets, extreme CPU utilization
can be observed. A CFTP server trace may show indicate a loop.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to detect when internal data areas
being received from the network are changing in size.
The detection of the change in the size of the data area
    prevents the loop.
