    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Gray colors (numbered 121 through *
    * 150) are printed slowly and appear *
    * muddy. 2. RGB colors are incorrectly *
    *                      converted to CMYK format. 3. Level-1    *

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    1. RGB greys were converted to CMYK colors with non-zero CMY
    components; CMYK colors were only converted to PostScript
    "setgray" format if the CMY comopents were all equal, and the K
    component was zero. 2. RGB colors converted to CMYK format did
    not have the K component subtracted from the CMY components. 3.
    PostScript level-1 images left unused values on the stack.

Problem conclusion

  • The problems are fixed by PTF.
