Error description

  • ANB Korean language strings are in file 'i2 Analyst's Notebook
8 U0012.trn'. This file is in  directory 'C:\Program Files
(x86)\Common Files\i2 Shared\Trans'

In this file the line:

with {0} analysis attribute set to '{{0}}'

is incorrect. The second replaceable parameter on the Korean
side contains a single opening brace '{0}}' . It should contain
two brace chars '{{0}}'.


When ANB is set to run the Korean language interface, the
"Filter" feature in Analysts Notebook will throw a .NET
.NET "System.FormatException" error message. The Filter tries
to create a tooltip message using this string from the trn
file, but crashes due the missing { char.

Local fix

  • Close ANB if it is running.

Go to directory 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\i2
Shared\Trans'

Open 'i2 Analyst's Notebook 8 U0012.trn'

Find the line containing  '{0}}'

Change this to '{{0}}'

Save the changes.

Open ANB and use the filter function normally.
