Error description
The customer gets an I/O error during the READ/WRITE on a file that has been transfered via the FTP-C. This occurs only under C-runtime library 2.1. The FTP-C writes RECFM=VB block that conflict with BDW (block descriptor word) .Result is I/O error when trying to read/edit that file later.

Problem conclusion
The V2R1 C runtime is incorrectly determining maximum record length for fwrite during fopen for recfm=u. Module EZAFTSMV was changed to specify the blocksize to the C-runtime library, thereby not allowing the C-runtime to determine it. Other customers have reported problem corrected when they move to C runtime LE/370 1.3 and up.
