  • Customer has a GDG defined with the RACF profile of
xxxx.xxxxxxxx.** . When trying to perform a GET to the C-FTP
server for this GDG they receive
MSG550 RETR FAILS :xxxx.xxxxxxxx(0). USER NOT AUTHORIZED
If the RACF profile is defined as xxxx.xxxxxxx*.** then, the
dataset is accessable. The C-FTP server should convert the

Users can receive 550 RETR fails xxxx.xxxx(0) user not
authorized. This error occurs only on certain GDG's depending
on how the security profile for that GDG has been setup to
    handle relative names.

Problem conclusion

  • Module EZAFTSRU has been altered to convert the the relative
GDG name supplied to an absolute name prior to performing the
dataset authorization checking. This will resolve the errors
detected with certain types of security profiles.
